More about Bank of America Stadium
The Carolina Panthers are based at Bank of America Stadium, in Charlotte, North Carolina. In the same way that the team has gained accolades over the years, the venue has expanded its purpose, hosting more than just Panthers football. With that in mind it is crucial to book Bank of America Stadium parking ahead of time with ParkWhiz. The Charlotte-based Richardson Sports organization applied to the NFL for an expansion team slot in 1991, which the league awarded it in 1993. The team was first based at Memorial Stadium in Clemson for the 1995 season before they moved into the then-new Ericsson Stadium in 1996. The venue’s naming rights were acquired by Bank of America in 2004, who renamed the venue Bank of America Stadium. The Panthers have been competitive since the start, winning the NFC Conference Championship in 2003 and 2015, the NFC West Division Championship in 1996, and the NFC South in 2003, 2008, 2013-15, and eight playoff appearances in 1996, 2003, 2005, 2008, 2013-15 and 2017. David Tepper purchased the team in May 2018. The venue has been expanded five times and renovated four times, most recently to allow the stadium to accommodate the Charlotte FC MLS team, which will be based at the stadium starting in 2022. The arena has hosted six playoff games, in 1996, 2004, 2009, 2014 and two games in 2016. The venue has consistently expanded and improved over the years, just like the Panthers, so it is important to book Bank of America Stadium parking in advance of the game with ParkWhiz.
