The city of Nashville, Tennessee, is famous for its rich musical heritage, which has brought music fans the world over to visit. One of its newest attractions is Ascend Amphitheater, an open-air concert venue overlooking the Cumberland River that has become popular with visitors, so it is important to book Ascend Amphitheater parking in advance of the show with ParkWhiz. The idea for the outdoor amphitheater came in August 2013 when Mayor Karl Dean proposed new uses for land previously used by a recycling facility as part of the West Riverfront Master Plan. Situated within Metro Riverfront Park, the venue opened to the public in July 2015 with a two-day concert by Eric Church, a show by Earth, Wind & Fire and Chicago and followed by a later show by Phish. The open-air theater has space for 6,800 guests, with 4,500 able to utilize the lawn area while 2,300 guests can be seated in the amphitheater proper. Managed and operated by Live Nation, the outdoor concert hall’s naming rights were contracted to Ascend Federal Credit Union for ten years, hence the name Ascend Amphitheater.
