About Princess of Wales Theatre
Located in downtown Toronto’s thriving Entertainment District, this 2,000 seat live theatre was built to stage large-scale musicals for long runs. You’ll feel like royalty using ParkWhiz for Princess of Wales Theatre parking, due to being able to simply book the best space for you at a great rate with your smartphone.
The name honours Diana, Princess of Wales - with whose consent was given when naming the theatre. It’s owned by Mirvish Productions a group that also owns nearby theatres Royal Alexandria, Ed Mirvish and Panasonic Theatres. It’s stages many notable productions, including runs of Miss Saigon, Beauty and the Beast, Chicago, Oliver!, Cabernet, Phantom of the Opera, and The Sound of Music.
While it’s expected that drama would take place on stage, there was surprising drama off stage in 2012 when the ownership group announced plans to demolish the theatre after only 19 years of operation. City planners were not having it, however, and following criticism, the ownership group announced new plans to save the venue.
Princess of Wales Theatre parking is made easier with ParkWhiz. Next time you’re going to a large scale production show, just open the ParkWhiz app then search, book and pay for parking with your smartphone.
